This box is where I stress that what I am doing here is a horrible, awful, no-good idea. Putting my original fics up here will make it impossible for me to sell first rights, and it's a rare publisher who will be remotely interested in buying something that's already been published... and guess what? Web publishing is publishing. That said, I'm going to do it anyway. These stories have all been around for several years, aren't going to be altered (or finished, in the case of poor The Gods in Time, whose title came to me while I was in undergraduate school, for cripe's sake). The chances of them seeing the light of day are pretty slim. In the case of "Married Life" and "After Darkness," they already had a publication, in Proteus Continuum... also undergrad adventures. It's an odd thing... the only things I can post are things that sincerely hope I've surpassed since I wrote them. So, with no further ado, in reverse age order (please remember that the older something is the less time I'd been writing, and the more, er, removed from whatever my current level is it will be).
Glory is the keeper of a space station that's a cross-point for jumps. New technology may make her position obsolete.
Sayna is the youngest of three princesses, and most face the despotic ruler of the galaxy, who was maimed by a plague developed on her own planet. A Beauty and the Beast riff.
Alitza is a hot-tempered orphan who is found by the mysterious Vayadin and his spooky child assistant, Milek.
Henry is a sleepwalker, and one night's nightmare vision comes true, when, in his dream, he places an engagement ring on a finger sticking up from the ground... and he wakes up to find a rotting corpse cooking breakfast. Horror.
Cynical journalist Alan Milner goes to the country to investigate Banes Farm, a sixties style commune that's been around for decades. He finds out why the locals fear it. Horror.
